Warm, direct, and clinically rigorous.

Brian T. Jones is a licensed mental health counselor and the developer of the FERNS Method — a structured relational framework for identifying the unmet needs driving conflict. Not communication tips. Not homework you will abandon in three weeks. A way of understanding why the same argument keeps happening.

Brian will not tell you what you want to hear, and he will not take sides. He will help you understand what is actually happening between you and what it will take to change it.

Brian is licensed to practice in Delaware and Massachusetts, and offers telehealth appointments during the day and in the evening. He is certified in trauma-informed care and attachment-based therapy, and his clinical focus is relationship issues, marital and premarital work, and relational profiling.

The FERNS Method came out of fifteen years of working with couples at every stage — the early years, the long middle, crisis, and recovery. The same pattern kept appearing regardless of what brought a couple in, and the framework is what came of naming it.

Brian is the co-founder of BME Therapy Associates with his wife Emily, and works with couples on the belief that the most important investment anyone makes is in the foundation of their relationship.

Most couples do not come to me because something exploded. They come because they have been slowly drifting, and one of them finally said it out loud.
